Will the iGaming Industry Survive the 2020’s

The iGaming industry compiles of thousands of companies from all over the globe that offer online casino games, sports betting, VR games, bingo, keno, and all other sorts of wager oriented gaming types available throughout the web. The companies and websites that offer such games on their platforms are what makes up an entire industry of billions. The iGaming industry is predicted to reach USD 87.75 billion by 2024, in revenues.

However, some predictions say that many technological and cultural changes will vanish this industry. Is that so?

Some of the predictions say that a growing number of people in North America, specifically the United States and Canada. Are becoming less and less open to the idea of gambling altogether.
Those that are less open to gambling often feel that this form of entertainment is absurd and that intentionally losing money to have fun is ridiculous.
According to such predictions, the gambling industry will decrease in size in the US first, followed up by Canada, and then, the rest of the world.

The United States is known for starting and ending many world-wide trends in the last decades. It is no secret that most of the fast-food restaurant chains, cloths manufacturers, and all kinds of global companies were originated in the US.

The Basis of These Predictions

Honestly, I have searched a lot for a solid basis that enables an assumption that the gambling industry is not here to stay, without much success. I believe some may not understand the adrenaline and fun of gambling. However, most of us do.
It’s simple. You risk a small amount of money for the slight chance to win a large amount of money. And that is fun.
In 2018 Las Vegas increased revenues by 3% compared to the previous year. In 2019 the revenues were the same as in 2018. However, that is not a decrease.

Others Predict Differently

That’s true. Many others predict the opposite. Increase in revenues in the iGaming industry is the far more common opinion you would often read if you are interested in this information.

New online casinos are opening daily. Software provider companies, those that create the games, are continually releasing new games and the audiences are loving it. Players are in a constant search for new and exciting games.

The industry leaders are always on the lookout for ways to keep players engaged, and coming back for more.
