Panda loves hugging his begrudging friend

This affectionate bear was at first batted away by his not-so-eager pal’s paw
But love prevailed and reluctant friend allowed himself to be cuddled

Everyone has that one needy friend who just loves hugs.

And this panda was filmed begrudgingly accepting his touchy-feely pal’s wishes.

Adorable footage was uploaded to the iPanda YouTube channel, which documents the species in various locations in China such as the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding – but it is unclear where the pair in this video are from.

In the clip, the hug-loving panda approaches his friend eagerly – but his pal isn’t in the mood and tries to bat him away with his paw.

But in the end, love prevailed and the begrudging friend let the panda smother him with cuddles.

A zoomed out shot shows the affectionate bear lying completely on top of his friend in a state of bliss – while his pal waits impatiently for it all to be over.

Sometimes, to be a good friend, you just have to grin and bear it.
