A woman who didn’t leave her house for four years because of her deformed breasts is celebrating getting the boobs of her dreams after surgery with a cake shaped like her new chest.
Doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif fixed Chanel’s completely deflated breasts after more than six hours of ‘difficult’ surgery shown on Thursday’s episode of the E! reality series, Botched.
‘I spent a decade being the person in the corner because I didn’t want anyone to notice me. Now I’m ready to show everybody Dr. Dubrow’s work,’ she said as she celebrated the surgery’s results with friends and family.
Procedures: Chanel, a patient on Botched, was left with completely deformed breasts after three consecutive surgeries that left her nipples seemingly attached directly onto her chest
Hurrah! After paying a visit to E! reality star doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif, Chanel had her breasts repaired, and celebrated with a cake shaped like her new chest
Showing them off: ‘I spent a decade being the person in the corner because I didn’t want anyone to notice me. Now I’m ready to show everybody [my doctor’s] work,’ said Chanel
“I need you all to know when I go out I’ma be showing these t******!’ she said after seeing the results of her latest surgery.
Previous to her life-changing surgery, Chanel spent years living overweight and with severe depression after three consecutive surgeries left her nipples seemingly attached directly onto her chest.
She admitted on the episode that she paid a cut-price surgeon in Utah just $3,500 for her first implants.
Although at first she was happy with the results and her new 34C breasts, she said after getting pregnant and gaining 94lbs, her boobs ‘turned into pancakes’.
The mother tried to fix her breasts and went into the operation room two more times, but after her boobs became hard and different sizes, she had the implants removed.
Fourth time’s the charm: The Botched patient shed 90lbs in order to be able to have surgery again, which both Dr. Dubrow and Dr. Nassif agreed she needed
Awful: After her first surgery, Chanel’s breasts were initially perfect, however after she started putting on weight, they began to turn into ‘pancakes’
Happy at first: Chanel admitted she paid just $3,500 for her first surgery (left), and after she got pregnant, they rapidly changed shape, eventually leaving her with totally deformed boobs
That’s when depression kicked in and her weight ballooned to 282lbs after she turned to drinks and food to cope with her deformed chest.
Thankfully, Chanel began exercising a couple of years ago and shed 90lbs, which made her ready for surgery again, which doctors Dubrow and Nssif agred she needed.
The E! doctors first examined photos of Chanel and discussed her case, with Dubrow sounding especially alarmed by what he’s seeing.
‘They’re at the very bottom of her breast tissue,’ he said in reference to Chanel’s nipples.
Describing the situation further, the surgeon added: ‘The nipples are being tethered right to the chest wall at the breast crease.’
After pointing out that Chanel was ‘missing breast tissue’, a frustrated Dubrow asked his colleague to let Chanel in.
Beginnings: The patient had a breast augmentation, her original surgery, in 1999, after she turned 21, but was left devastated by the effect it eventually had on her breasts
A difficult case: E! Doctor Terry Dubrow was particularly alarmed with Chanel’s case, revealing that her nipples were ‘at the very bottom of her breast tissue’
Thanks, docs! Dr Dubrow spent six hours rebuilding Chanel’s breasts in surgery, which he admitted was incredibly ‘difficult’
The patient then explained she had a breast augmentation, her original surgery, in 1999, after she turned 21. Back then, everything seemed to be going well and she was ‘really happy’ with the results.
‘It went perfect,’ she says of the breast augmentation. ‘It took me from an A to a C and they were beautiful.’
But went Chanel got pregnant, she added, her breasts turned into ‘pancakes’.
‘They deflated,’ Dubrow commented with a knowing look.
‘One was droopy and then one looked bigger,’ Chanel recounted. Her doctor at the time recommended she get a breast lift.
What a change: ‘I need you all to know when I go out I’ma be showing these t******!’ a static Chanel said after seeing the results from her latest surgery
Celebration! After recovering from her surgery, Chanel was presented with a cake to commemorate her transformation
Happy as can be: Chanel couldn’t wait to show off her new chest to her friends and family
Chanel took that advice, but the procedure didn’t go as well as she’d hoped. That’s when her breasts started getting ‘a little bent in’, she explained in the episode.
‘Scar tissue formed [and] it sucked the lower portion of the breast tissue in,’ Dubrow added.
At that point, Chanel decided she would be happy to go back to her original 32 A size, hoping things would return to normal—but they didn’t.
‘Sometimes, when you take the implant out, it induces the immune system to continue the contraction process and can actually make it look even worse,’ Dubrow explains.
Chanel did consult plastic surgeons to try to restore her breast’s appearance, but because she weight more than 282 pounds, she couldn’t undergo a new procedure until now.
The new season of Botched airs Fridays on hayu and Tuesdays at 9pm on E!
