A mother known for her immaculately tidy home has revealed the affordable products she uses to organise every room with military precision – and none of them cost more than $10.

Steph Pase, 29, uses budget storage containers from IKEA to keep the bedrooms, bathrooms, entryway and pantry of her Sydney house neat, even with two small children running around.

Ms Pase offered a glimpse inside her in a YouTube video showing viewers how she arranges her linen closet by stacking sheets and towels into $5 fabric boxes and keeps cleaning and laundry supplies out of sight in $6 tubs.

She folds socks, underwear and light clothes into $9.99 divider inserts laid out inside her bedroom drawers, and packs her children’s toys into $6.99 plastic boxes to eliminate all traces of household clutter.

TO ORGANISE CUPBOARDS

Ms Pase uses $6 ‘Variera’ tubs to organise presses in her laundry, kitchen and bathroom, labelling each one to indicate what’s inside.

The long, narrow tubs come in two sizes, small and large, and can be stacked sideways or lengthways to fit the dimensions of your shelves.

Ms Pase said she uses the tubs to hold spices, condiments and kids’ snacks in the kitchen, cleaning and ironing supplies in the laundry and baby products in the bathroom.

‘I use them for everything all over the house. They’re so versatile,’ she said.

TO ORGANISE THE LINEN CLOSET

Ms Pase arranges her linen closet by separating bed sheets and pillow cases into $5 ‘Drona’ boxes, deep rectangular tubs made from cloth which she labels with acrylic tags to show what’s inside.

She also uses the tubs to store towels and quilt covers that don’t fold neatly to keep the closet tidy. She said she fits three standard covers or five fitted sheets into each.

Ms Pase keeps a box of cushion covers and other soft furnishings on the top shelf of the closet, furthest out of reach, because she uses them least.

‘I really recommend these, they just make everything look really nice and tidy,’ she said.

TO ORGANISE BEDROOM DRAWERS

Ms Pase uses $9.99 fabric divider inserts to organise her bedroom drawers.

She folds socks, underwear and light tops into designated sections so she never wastes time rooting for outfits.

She said the trays are excellent for storing rolled up baby clothes, and could also be used to divide stationery in a home office.

* USE YOUR SLOW COOKER: If she knows she has an especially busy day coming up, Steph said she’ll start dinner first thing in the morning.

* SCHEDULE A LOAD OF WASHING FOR FIRST THING:If your washing machine has the functionality, then schedule a wash for nine hours after you go to bed and you’ll wake up to a completed wash ready to be hung out.

Ms Pase uses $6.99 ‘Sockerbit’ plastic containers to hold toys, stationery and miscellaneous gadgets that would otherwise be left lying around the house.

‘I use them for kids crafts, so like paddle pop sticks, playdough, paper – it just keeps everything in the one section and keeps it really tidy,’ she said.

She uses $4.50 magazine holders from Kmart to store her manuals, warranties and kids’ drawing books and activity books.
