The pop star cut an anxious figure ahead of Alex’s big night as she headed into the stadium, arm-in-arm with a friend.

However, Perrie was no doubt happy to have attended later on as her boyfriend scored a goal twenty minutes in, helping Liverpool to lead 3-0 by half-time.

Alex relocated to Liverpool last year – but despite the distance between them, the couple have proved their relationship is still going strong.

They confirmed their romance in November 2016, and have put on a loved-up display ever since.

Not fazed by the change, Perrie previously insisted she is ‘very proud’ of her boyfriend for making the move to Liverpool F.C. from Arsenal.

Discussing how they will manage their long distance relationship, she told The Mirror: ‘I don’t think it will be difficult.

‘It’s going to be different – but that’s not a problem. We’ll be fine. I’m just really happy for him and very proud.’

The singer has been dating sports star Alex since November 2016, but remained coy about their romance at first.

However, the pair are now often seen documenting their relationship on social media for fans – sharing snaps of holidays and even romantic Christmases together.

While Alex has been busy training in recent weeks, Perrie was in Japan to perform in Tokyo and Kobe, as part of the summer leg of Little Mix’s tour.

The foursome jetted back to the UK last week, and are set to continue their tour across the UK in July, before it wraps in Inverness.
