Celebrity Family Feud: Katie Stevens leads The Bold Type to win, but RuPaul and team steal the show

Katie Stevens captained The Bold Type team as they won $25,000 for charity on Sunday’s episode of Celebrity Family Feud, but RuPaul and his team stole the show with some ribald replies.

The 27-year-old former American Idol finalist during the season seven episode hosted by Steve Harvey, 63, competed along with Australian actress Aisha Dee, 26, Melora Hardin, 52, Stephen Conrad Mooore and 43-year-old Sam Page from the critically acclaimed Freeform comedy-drama.

RuPaul, full name RuPaul Andre Charles, was joined by the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race, including judge Michelle Visage, 51, judge Carson Kressley, 50, contestant Latrice Royale and two-time finalist Raven.

Steve while introducing the teams made a point of praising RuPaul, 59, who he called a ‘talented individual’.

‘Kid you not, this is from the heart, talented,’ Steve told the audience.

Katie and RuPaul shook hands before squaring off as Steve asked them to name the top eight answers for the question, ‘Name a way a woman can flirt with a man without…’, which was interrupted before Steve could finish by RuPaul buzzing in.

‘Without him thinking she’s a whore. That’s what I’m thinking you were going to say,’ RuPaul explained.

‘I’m gonna go with that,’ he added. ‘My answer is batting her eyelashes’.

‘This is not how you play the game,’ Steve said as the audience howled in laughter.

RuPaul provided the number one answer worth 55 points and he danced around in celebration.

‘Very well played,’ said Katie who finished in eighth place in 2010 on season nine of American Idol.

Carson who was the ‘fashion savant’ on Queer Eye during introductions complimented Steve on the sharp ‘toasted plum’ suit that he was wearing.

‘I’m not wearing this damn suit no more. Get all your pictrures, this goes into retirement,’ said Steve who added that he would put it in glass case as a reminder of the time he was ‘toasted plum’.

Steve while fielding an answer from Michelle was surprised to learn that she co-hosted a radio show that competed with his own..

‘Don’t worry. I ran everyone out of LA. I was number one,’ boasted Steve, who hosts The Steve Harvey Morning Show on KJLH in Los Angeles.

Michelle tried to jog his memory and said that she co-hosted the radio show with comedian Sinbad, 63.

‘I spanked Sinbad,’ Steve recalled.

‘I spanked him, too, but it wasn’t on the radio,’ Carson interjected.

‘He did not spank Sinbad. I’m defending him,’ Steve announced.

RuPaul’s team despite the strong start stalled and gave three wrong answers, allowing The Bold Type team to still and they did with Katie’s answer of giving a dance making the board.

The Bold Type also won the next round and had 172 points to zero for RuPaul’s team with the goal of being the first to reach 200 points

RuPauls’ team bounced back in the next round with point values doubled and closed the gap to 172 to 164.

The Bold Type pulled ahead and clinched the game after Stephen beat Latrice when asked to name something you hope have in your car when you get a flat tire and answered ‘spare’. Sam, Katie and Aisha followed with correct answers sending their team to the Fast Money Round.

Katie went first and answered five questions in 20 seconds earning 147 points.

Stephen the cleaned up and easily reached 224 points as they scored a $25,000 donation to Girls Inc., which strives to create stronger, smarter and bolder women.
