Police were called to the scene around 1am on Saturday after receiving reports of ‘people [who were] busting glasses and have busted heads,’ according to the Mitchell Republic.

Calls to the Zoo Bar went unanswered. DailyMail.com has also contacted the Eagles seeking comment.

Goedert has so far declined to give a statement as of early Sunday evening. DailyMail.com has reached out to the player seeking a response.

Calls to the Aberdeen Police Department went unanswered on Sunday.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office said on Sunday that it did not have publicly available information about a suspect taken into custody in Aberdeen early Saturday morning.

One of Goedert’s teammates commented on the incident on his social media page.

Avonte Maddox, a cornerback for the Eagles who is Goedert’s best friend and roommate, tweeted: ‘Yeah, lucky I wasn’t there. Would have been some problems, deada**.’

Goedert, 25, is going into his third season with the Eagles.

Last year, he played in 15 games during which he caught 58 passes for 607 yards. He also scored five touchdowns.

Goedert and fellow Eagles tight end Zach Ertz combined to form one of the most prolific tandems in the league last season.

In 2018, the Eagles drafted Goedert in the second round after he played collegiately at South Dakota State.
