An Australian woman has revealed how she lost a staggering 67 kilos, after vowing to become a ‘new woman’ in time for her daughter’s birthday.
Heidi Swallow, 34, from Victoria, weighed 96 kilos at the age of 12, and her weight increased to 165 kilos when she became pregnant with her first child.
‘I was the heaviest I’d ever been,’ the mum told that’s life! magazine. ‘I knew I couldn’t live like that but with a baby on the way and facing life as a single mum, I didn’t have time to do anything about it.’

Ms Swallow had struggled with her weight her whole life and said she had previously been the target of bullies, who did tried to ignore.
‘But the older I got, the more I sought comfort in food and soft drink,’ she said.
‘By the time I was 30 I was 130 kilos. Then I became pregnant and my weight escalated.’
After her daughter, Isabella, was born Ms Swallow said she was unable to find the time to act on her weight.
But when she saw a photograph of herself on her daughter’s first birthday she said she was left ‘mortified’ by how she looked.
‘By the time I was 30 I was 130 kilos. Then I became pregnant and my weight escalated,’ she said
After the mum-of-one saw a photograph of herself at her daughter’s birthday, she vowed to change (she is pictured after her transformation)
‘There was a smile plastered across my face but I was miserable inside,’ she admitted. ‘Who would look after Isabella if something happened to me?’
The mum-of-one said it was that thought that made her vow to change her ways to become ‘a new person’ at her daughter’s next birthday.
‘For the first time in years, I began to cook healthy meals at home instead of living off takeaways,’ she said.
‘I started to get off the lounge and move around more slowly too.’

‘While I still have a way to go before I reach my goal, I’m so proud of how far I’ve come,’ she said. ‘Best of all, Isabella now has a healthy role model to look up to’
She said that ‘slowly but surely’ her clothes began to feel loser as the kilos melted away.
Ms Swallow supplemented her new routine by joining a new taekwondo-inspired online workout program – TIFFXO – run by Biggest Loser star Tiffiny Hall – which involved simple 20-minute workouts.

‘Immediately I was welcomed into the supportive online community,’ Ms Swallow said, adding that those involved are fondly referred to as ‘ninjas’.
In a month, the mum lost five kilos and four months on, she had shed a total of 67 kilos from the weight she was when she was pregnant – taking her to 98 kilos.
‘While I still have a way to go before I reach my goal, I’m so proud of how far I’ve come,’ she said.
