Emirates is to re-introduce its flagship A380 aircraft on services to London Heathrow and Paris from July 15.
The Dubai-based carrier restarted flights to the British and French capitals in May using Boeing 777-300ER planes.
But next month will mark the return of the A380 to its scheduled services for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic forced the airline to ground its passenger fleet in March temporarily.

It follows the announcement this week by officials in Dubai that it will reopen to business and leisure visitors from July 7 – providing they meet the entry criteria.
Emirates said that the reopening of Dubai would see new air travel protocols that facilitate travel for UAE citizens, residents and tourists while ‘safeguarding the health and safety of travellers and communities’.
Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ chief operating officer, said: ‘The A380 remains a popular aircraft amongst our customers and it offers many unique onboard features.
‘We are delighted to bring it back into the skies to serve our customers on flights to London and Paris from July 15, and we are looking forward to gradually introduce our A380 into more destinations according to the travel demand on specific destinations.
‘The Emirates A380 experience remains unique in the industry, and even though we’ve modified services onboard for the health and safety of our crew and customers, we are confident that our customers would welcome flying again in this quiet, comfortable aircraft.’
Emirates currently offers flights to over 40 cities, including Manchester, through its Dubai hub for customers travelling between the Asia Pacific, the Gulf, Europe and the Americas.

Today it is restarting flights to Dhaka and on July 15 will resume services to Munich. Boeing 777-300ERs will operate both routes.
Emirates distributes complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to all its customers.
In addition, passengers departing from its Dubai home base undergo a coronavirus blood test, with the results delivered in 10 minutes.
