This is when you can go to Tasmania: State announces date for border reopening as SA vows not to ban Melbourne travellers despite huge coronavirus outbreak
Tasmania is planning to reopen its borders to mainland Australia in four weeks – while South Australia will welcome travellers from all states on July 20 despite a significant spike in cases in Victoria.
Tasmanian Premier Peter Gutwein has announced the island state intends to ease border restrictions on July 24, depending on public health advice.
He said the state will review the coronavirus situation in other jurisdictions over the next month, paying particular attention to a spike in Victoria.

‘If the public health advice is that we should maintain our restrictions, then we will maintain our restrictions,’ Mr Gutwein told reporters on Friday.
South Australia will stick with its plan to lift border restrictions to all states, including Victoria, as COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease.
Premier Steven Marshall said Victoria was getting on top of its cases, but SA would continue to monitor its progress as the July 20 date nears.
With stage three of restriction easing commencing on June 29, Mr Marshall also said theatres and the Adelaide Casino will reopen next week.
