Luckily for the gaggle of glamorous ladies, who donned vibrant headgear and a melange of bold summer frocks, the weather brightened up into the afternoon, allowing the ladies to kick back and relax in style.

Bravely flaunting their bare legs in an array of skimpy dresses, women could be seen giggling under umbrellas as they arrived at at the equestrian event in their finery.
Luckily the rain eased off in time for a royal arrival as fittingly, the Duke of York, Prince Andrew arrived at the raced this afternoon.
The Queen’s son was suited and booted in anticipation of the day ahead, arriving in a charcoal grey two piece suit and a sky blue tie.
The royal, 57, appeared to be in good spirits as he chatted to fellow racing enthusiasts as he arrived at the stadium today.

Others had come prepared in practical but not-very-glamorous clear plastic ponchos.

Elsewhere, one woman was spotted wearing a bold orange dress coat, which she teamed with black accessories including plain heels and a small fascinator.
She was accompanied by a dashing gent in a sand-coloured suit, which he wore with a straw hat.
