- Two friends made the most of bad weather in usually sunny Byron Bay
- They used snowboards to slide down a grassy hill covered in fresh hailstones
- As they slide along the ice, a bright and sunny sky is seen behind them
Two men have made the most of adverse weather in typically sunny Byron Bay, by filming themselves snowboarding on top of melting hail.
Hilarious footage shows the friends slide down a hill on the board one at a time, with a bright blue sky seen in the background.
One man from The Hoodie Co, where the videos were shared online, said the snowboarding expedition took place just five minutes south of Byron Bay at about 5pm on Thursday.

Both men are seen wearing shorts and beanies. One wore a jumper to complete his snowboarding look, but the other cheekily bared his arms in a maroon t-shirt.
The man in maroon takes a straight route down the grassy hill, but creates a wave of ice out of the hailstones as he turns his feet to stop.
His friend in yellow is seen using bumps as miniature snowboarding jumps, and cheers as he heads down the hill.
When he makes it to the bottom, the bizarre nature of the men’s activity is brought to light as another person is seen nearby holding a bright pink boogie board.
It is unclear whether they were making use of what they had on hand, and intending to slide down the hill themselves, or if they were heading to the beach.
