Surprised royal fans have shared their delight at the news that Princess Beatrice has married property developer Edo Mapelli Mozzi in a small private ceremony this morning.
The couple tied the knot at Windsor Castle today after their originally planned wedding ceremony, set to take place at the end of May, was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Delighted royal fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight, and surprise, at the secret ceremony, which the bride’s grandparents the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh attended.

Tributes have flooded in for the happy couple with many expressing their heartfelt congratulations on their wedding day.
Grant Herald, broadcaster and former butler to Prince Charles, shared the news on his Twitter account, The Royal Butler, saying: ‘Huge congratulations to HRH Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who got married in Windsor in a private ceremony attended by the HM The Queen and close family.’
One royal fan said: ‘Many congratulations to Princess Beatrice on getting married. I wish you all the happiness for your future. I hope that you are very happy.’
Twitter users have said that a small intimate wedding was the ‘best way to do it’, with others adding that Princess Beatrice ‘deserves’ her special day.
Diversity adviser Patricia Chinyoka said: ‘Congratulations to the newly married couple Princess Beatrice and Edo. May God bless you as you start your new journey together, much love and happiness.’
Another delighted fan said: ‘Congratulations to Princess Beatrice and her new husband, who quietly married at Windsor this morning. It’s a beautiful day and apparently the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were spotted driving there.’
The Queen, who has been in isolation at Windsor Castle with the Duke of Edinburgh, was pictured looking resplendent in green as she left Royal Lodge today.

It is believed that the bride’s parents, Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York, were both in attendance.
But it is not known whether her younger sister Princess Eugenie, 30, and brother-in-law Jack Brooksbank were present.
Weddings of up to 30 people are now allowed to take place under the current government guidelines.
Beatrice, the Duke of York’s eldest daughter and the Queen’s granddaughter, was set to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on May 29 at the Chapel Royal of St James’s Palace this year.
There were set to be 150 guests in attendance, followed by a lavish reception planned at the garden of Buckingham Palace.
But the couple had to postpone their big day shortly after the government announced the UK was going into lockdown on March 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Millionaire property tycoon Mr Mapelli Mozzi has dual British and Italian citizenship – and Italy has faced one of the worst battles with the pandemic.
