A Brisbane bus driver has been seriously assaulted by a teenage passenger.
The boy, who boarded the bus with a female in the suburb of Mount Gravatt East about 6pm Saturday, became involved in an argument with the male driver.
He headbutted the 67-year-old driver, causing a serious facial injury – including possible skull fractures, then tried to assault the man further before fleeing on foot with his companion.

The injured man was taken to Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
The alleged assault comes amid ongoing tensions between Brisbane City Council and Brisbane bus drivers who are currently calling for improved safety conditions.
A Rail, Tram and Bus Union spokesman told AAP earlier in the month that safety is a top priority as well as pay increases and better hours, 9 News reported.
‘Safety has and always will be the RTBU’s number one priority,’ he said.
