Crossorads Hotel, the pub at the centre of Sydney’s biggest coronavirus outbreak reopens

Pub at the centre of Sydney’s biggest coronavirus outbreak with 56 confirmed cases and counting reopens TODAY

A popular pub linked to the Sydney’s biggest coronavirus cluster will reopen its doors.

The Crossroads Hotel at Casula in Sydney’s south-west will reopen on Friday with the bistro to be open from Saturday.

The hotel has been closed since July 12 after a patron tested positive to coronavirus.

At least 56 cases of the virus have since been linked to the pub.

The Crossroads Hotel will reopen on Friday, 12 days after it was shut down after a patron infected with coronavirus drank there

‘Our team has worked closely with NSW Health, who cleared the hotel to reopen on Sunday 12th July, and we are officially registered as a COVID Safe business with the NSW Government,’ Crossroads Hotel posted on Facebook on Thursday.

The venue will have limited entry points of entry manned with staff and security, along with with digital, contactless QR scanning procedures.

An on-duty COVID Safe Hygiene Marshall will enforce social distancing, cleaning and hygiene at the venue and ensure patrons remain seated at all times.

‘We would like to thank everyone for the support that has been shown by our community of loyal customers during this difficult period and we look forward to welcoming you back soon,’ the hotel ended the post.

More to come.
