Piers Morgan has revealed he has broken three ribs after suffering a nasty fall.
The Good Morning Britain host has been left in agony after breaking the bones in an accident, but has not yet revealed the circumstances surrounding his tumultuous tumble.
Mr Morgan was treated at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in Fulham, London, and he praised NHS staff for their assistance in his hour of need.
Revealing his injury on his Twitter account, he posted: ‘BREAKING (literally…) NEWS: I’ve broken 3 ribs falling flat on my a**e. Thanks to @ChelwestFT staff for speedy treatment.’
He later added: ‘Trying to work out what’s causing me more pain, Wenger or 3 broken ribs. Fairly sure it’s Wenger.’
Mr Morgan, 52, has a history of rib injuries and broke one of his bones in December 2013 when he faced a barrage of six deliveries from Australian fast bowler Brett Lee for a TV segment on Sky Sports.
In 2007, he broke three ribs after falling off a Segway at 12mph in California three days before he was due to appear as a judge on the final of reality show America’s Got Talent.

Mr Morgan and Susanna Reid are due to return to GMB next week after enjoying the summer off from the ITV breakfast show.
The pair are due to resume duties on Monday, September 4 following their lengthy break which began in July.

In their absence Richard Madeley, Jeremy Kyle and Eamonn Holmes have been filling in for Piers over the last six weeks, with Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins stepping in for Susanna.
The presenter has just returned from a holiday with his sons Spencer, Stanley and Albert in Antigua.
He spent the weekend in America, where he watched Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
