- Perth woman Christine Goss had her rental property completely trashed
- She agreed to let a homeless mother-of-four stay at the house with cheap rent
- But a year on the house and backyard had become full of rubbish
A Good Samaritan has had her property completely trashed after she let a homeless mother-of-four move into her rental.
Christine Goss thought she was doing the right thing when she let the family stay at her three-bedroom home in Padbury, north of Perth, with cheap rent and without paying bond.
Ms Goss felt bad for the children and agreed to let them move in about a year ago.

‘I gave her cheap rent, there was no bond, there was no rent in advance and I always paid the excess water bills,’ Ms Goss told 7 News.
But a year on the house had become full of rubbish, with clothes and household goods strewn over the floor.
There was even evidence of drug use – a homemade bong was found in the living room.
Luckily neighbours and friends have pitched in to help with the clean-up, but Ms Goss said she has learnt a very expensive lesson.
‘Don’t go by your heart, go by your head and not your heart,’ she advised other landlords.
‘It’s a good lesson. Yeah, it’s a hard lesson and an expensive lesson.’
