Schitt’s Creek’s actresses Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy are bringing the holidays home with their festive ads for iconic Canadian department store Hudson’s Bay.
‘This year, we need the holidays more than ever,’ Annie begins in one ad, entitled A Call To Joy.
In the spot, Catherine and Annie herald the holidays in truly festive spirit by calling all the carolers to song and exchanging gifts.

Annie, 33, starts things off by mentioning just how much the holidays are needed this year, as she gets ready in the mirror.
Then, the Canadian actress appears in a lavish red room, and as she descends the grand staircase, she continues: ‘We need light! We need music! And we need a whole lotta joy.’
As everything comes to life around her, Murphy hears O’Hara, 66, calling ‘Hello?’ offscreen.

Soon: Annie appears in a lavish red room, and as she descends the grand staircase everything comes to life around her
As she walks into a new snow and pine tree setting to meet her onscreen mother, Annie is now dressed in a sparkly dress, where she finds Catherine in a jacket and ribbon collar.
The Canadian ladies go on to call ‘all the deck-the-hallers’ as well as the ‘fa-la-la-la-la’ers’ as they transition into a lovely gallery environment.
There, the pair exchange gifts, as they continue to spread joy while also maintaining just a touch of that Schitt’s Creek snark viewers have grown to love.

‘Growing up with my big family in Toronto, I was excited every year to see the beautiful holiday window display at Hudson’s Bay,’ Beetlejuice actress O’Hara said in a statement.
‘I was also thrilled knowing my Mom and Dad would be buying our Christmas presents there! So I’m very happy to join this festive campaign celebrating Canadians and our colorful holiday season.’

Annie added, ‘The magic of the holiday season is spreading joy and that’s what Hudson’s Bay’s campaign “A Call to Joy” is celebrating. For me, that joy is sobbing through It’s A Wonderful Life in front of the family Christmas tree.’
The two actresses, who portrayed mother and daughter Moira and Alexis Rose for six seasons on the beloved Pop TV comedy series, recently both won Primetime Emmys for their roles.
The victories were part of an unprecedented sweep that saw Schitt’s Creek take home nine wins in September.
