Emily Atack has revealed she didn’t tell Holly Willoughby about impersonating her in a new comedy show and is ‘scared’ how the This Morning host will react when she sees the sketch.
The new Celebrity Juice star, who recently replaced Holly as team captain, pokes fun at the presenter’s clean-cut image in a skit to feature on The Emily Atack Show.
But Emily, 30, insists the gag is not ‘malicious’ and believes Holly will see the funny side when she watches the clip for the first time on Tuesday’s This Morning, while the funny woman appears as a guest, as they both share a ‘cheeky’ sense of humour.
‘I’m nervous!’ Emily Atack has revealed she didn’t tell Holly Willoughby about impersonating her in a new comedy show and is ‘scared’ how the This Morning host will react
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Emily said: ‘I’m nervous about playing her the clip, I’m actually quite scared.
‘But Holly’s cheeky like me and got a good sense of humour so I just hope she finds it funny. I know I’m not a malicious person – I don’t call anyone out or do anything nasty.
‘It’s simply I want people I admire on my show where I can do silly voices and make them do cheeky things they wouldn’t normally do.’

Asked if she gave Holly a heads-up that she would be playing her in the new ITV2 series which starts on Wednesday, she said: ‘No, I didn’t tell anyone. I’m sure Alistair McGowan doesn’t tell people before he impersonates them.’
But Emily insists she has nothing but respect for the presenter and says comparisons between them are ‘humbling.’
Emily added: ‘Holly is the Queen of TV and everyone adores her. To be compared to her is a travesty – I should not be compared to her really – she’s gold.
‘But I am humbled by that comparison and she’s certainly somebody who influences me and I’ve always looked up to her. She’s a role model and brilliant at what she does.’

Emily filmed the ITV2 show during lockdown and each episode of the series will have a different theme, including Dating, Going Out, Family, Image, Friends and Growing Up, with celebrity impersonations scattered in between.
The I’m A Celeb star also parodied TOWIE favourite Gemma Collins and Celebrity Juice host Keith Lemon.
Emily, who grew up idolising Harry Enfield And Chums star Kathy Burke, is proud to be the first woman to front a sketch show in recent years.
She said: ‘It’s terrifying for me but obviously very liberating and exciting.
‘It’s terrifying for me’: Emily, who recently joined Celebrity Juice alongside Laura Whitmore, said having her own sketch show is both very ‘liberating and exciting’
‘It was a huge part of my life’: The Inbetweeners star, who played Charlotte Hinchcliffe, said she has’t ruled out reprising her role if writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley brought it back
‘I’m just going to milk everything and bring back funny women who aren’t afraid to talk about sex, dress up as a bloke and make fart jokes. Weirdly it’s stuff I’ve always wanted to do.’
Emily admits writing the series has given her the confidence to develop her own sitcom next year.
But she hasn’t ruled out reprising her role as Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners, the cult Channel 4 sitcom in which she made her name, in the future if writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley bring it back.
Emily added: ‘The Inbetweeners was a huge part of my life, people are always speculating about a Christmas special or another movie.
‘It would be lovely’: Emily predicts that her character Charlotte could reconnect with Will McKenzie, played by Simon Bird, after his storylines were always plagued by heartbreak
‘Iain and Damon are my favourite writers so any chance to work with them again, I would never turn that down.’
Asked if her character Charlotte could reconnect with geeky Will McKenzie, played by Simon Bird, she added: ‘I always think it was left on a bit of a heartbreak for him.
‘He was always angry at her for leaving him and teasing him for a bit. But it would be lovely if they got back together.’
The Emily Atack Show, starts on Wednesday November 4 at 10pm on ITV2
