Blake Shelton thanked his fiancee Gwen Stefani as he took home the honors for best Country Artist at the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards Sunday in Santa Monica, California.

The 44-year-old country singer joked about Stefani’s massive fame as he showed his gratitude for her in the speech.

‘Thank you to my new fiancée, Gwen Stefani,’ the Oklahoma native said of his love, who took in the show from a vehicle nearby due to the pandemic.

The Sangria singer continued: ‘That’s S-t-e-f-a-n-i, if you need to Google it to figure out who she is. Thanks for the inspiration.’

Shelton said the victory, his second year in a row in the category, was ‘crazy’ and ‘absolutely insane’ amid the trying year.

‘I’m so happy that we’re able to have this award show in spite of everything,’ the God’s Country performer said. ‘Me and my team should be thanking all the fans out there who voted for this thing.

‘And I don’t spend a lot of time on social media anymore, but when I do look at it, all I see is fans retweeting and voting for – lately, for the People’s Choice Awards. Thank you so much.’

The No Doubt songstress, who has been with the country singer for five years, took to Instagram Stories from a vehicle where she rode in with Shelton before the show.

‘So basically I have to stay in the car because of COVID,’ she said, ‘but I’m here to support Blake in case he wins.’

Shelton incorrectly predicted he wouldn’t win, then praised the Arizona Cardinals in their thrilling last-second win, before answering questions from a health official.

Shelton revealed their engagement last month in an Instagram post, writing, ‘Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!’
