It’s no secret that Australia is obsessed with a certain creamy fruit spread thickly on a toasted slice of sourdough.

And while patrons are likely to spend upwards of $19 on the tasty brunch-time treat one cafe is looking to cut the costs completely.

Little Evie, which normally charges $15 for their lavish version of smashed avocado (which includes labne, dukkah, lime, scrambled eggs and pork fennel sausage), will be giving away a free meal on September 6.

From 7.30am customers can walk into the Redfern-based restaurant and order avocado on Sonoma-baked sourdough and a small coffee and walk out without paying a cent.

The catch? You need to be one of the first 100 in the store.

While tomorrow will be a Sydney-only affair, Melbourne and Brisbane will also be receiving free avocado in the coming weeks with announcements to come.

The offer is only available to the first 100 patrons who turn up at the store (stock image)
