Shane Warne has admitted that co-parenting his three children with ex-wife Simone Callahan is ‘never easy’ – but they find a way to make it work.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, the cricket legend, 51, says the pair have learned to put their children first.
‘Co-parenting is never easy but you’ve got to be a grown up and if you put your kids first you can do it,’ he said.

‘When people start using the children for their own advantages and don’t make them the priority, that’s when difficulties happen.
‘Both of us have put our children as our number one priority at all times and that’s why it’s been able to work.’
Shane shares daughter Brooke, 19, son Jackson, 21, and daughter Summer, 23, with his former wife, yoga enthusiast Simone, 50.
The once golden couple were married between 1995 and 2005. The pair briefly reconciled after their divorce, but split again for the final time in 2010.

Shane has admitted that he wasn’t always the best husband in the past.
‘I think some of my actions in the mid 90s and towards the end of the late 90s — I acted in a sort of arrogant, pretty ordinary fashion all the time,’ he told Fox Sports’ A Week With Warnie program.
‘I live in the moment so sometimes you don’t think about the consequences and that was probably most of my trouble. I didn’t think what the consequences were or what effect it would have on other people.’

Shane also spoke of letting his family and children down by his actions.
‘I’m not proud of all of my decisions,’ he said. ‘I made some horrible mistakes and choices with things.
‘Some of the things were really hard to take. I let my family down, I embarrassed my children … but that’s something I have to live with.’
Simone previously told New Idea magazine she has struggled with trust issues since ending her marriage to notorious ladies’ man Shane.

‘I’m obviously not very good with relationships. I’ve only had two partners in 20 years … maybe I’ve gone too much with my head and not enough with my heart,’ she said.
Shane is know to be very close to his children, on Monday celebrating the last of his three children finishing school in an Instagram Stories post.
He wrote on the post: ‘Wow. What a day! All three of my beautiful children have now completed year 12.
‘Sort of sad too as they were fun times and will be great memories for all of us’ he added.
