Marketing fail? I’m A Celeb’s Instagram account unfollows the likes of Zac Efron and Natalie Portman after fans refuse to believe Hollywood stars would appear on the show
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has started filming near the rural NSW town of Murwillumbah.
But it appears Channel 10’s marketing tricks used to hype the show’s yet-to-be-announced celebrity cast have back-flipped on the network.
Over the weekend, eagle-eyed-fans noticed that the reality show’s official Instagram account conveniently followed a bevy of Hollywood stars currently in Australia.

While most users follow Zac Efron or Natalie Portman as fans of the actors, producers could have attempted to ‘leak their own lineup’ as a marketing ploy.
Unlikely contestants Lindsay Lohan, Aussie Rules footballer Josh Kennedy, Celeste Barber and Courtney Act were among the many celebrities to be followed.
Designer Alex Perry, singer Alfie Arcuri, television host Rove McManus and KIIS 106.5 ‘Intern’ Pete Deppeler were also followed in a bid to mix things up.

So they won’t be appearing on the show? As of Monday, the show’s extremely unlikely cast was unfollowed and now the account only follows hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown
Unbelievable: After failing to make headlines, the account mysteriously unfollowed each of the accounts as of Monday morning and now only follows hosts Chris Brown and Julia Morris
But no surprise, probable contestants Paulini Curuenavuli, singer Jack Vidgen and Robert ‘Dipper’ Dipierdomenico were not on the list of followed contestants.

It comes as it was revealed Channel Ten are considering replacing Pete Evans with his My Kitchen Rules co-star Colin Fassnidge.

According to a report in The Australian, ‘impeccable sources’ swear that the Irish-born chef will be Pete’s replacement.
Colin is known for his ‘take no prisoners’ temperament and the new role would be a lucrative career move for the father-of-two.
Pete was dropped from the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! line-up after sharing a cartoon which featured ‘neo nazi’ symbolism.
