TikTok sensation Starr Anyse shot to viral fame on Sunday after she uploaded a video of herself claiming actress Isla Fisher had just approached her boyfriend Matt Rains at a Sydney cafe.
Now, Starr and Matt have revealed exactly how the chance encounter unfolded, telling Studio 10 on Wednesday that it actually took some time before they realised they were in the presence of Hollywood royalty.
In her video, Starr had claimed she was sitting with Matt at a Maroubra cafe when the Wedding Crashers star came up to the pair to tell Matt he should be an actor.

Speaking to Starr about the chance meeting, Studio 10’s Sarah Harris asked: ‘When it first happened were you going, ‘What’s going on? Is she flirting with my boy?”
Beaming, Starr replied: ‘It was a bit strange because Matt was dusty, he had his Christmas party the night before.’
‘She was chatting to us, I am a chatty person and I thought, ‘it’s is so lovely of this random person to say that [my boyfriend should be an actor]… and at the same time I thought, ‘surely that’s not the girl from the ING ads?”

‘Who would have thought Isla Fisher is standing in front of me at Maroubra? And as it all started to unfold, they were getting in the car, and Sacha Baron Cohen just looks over at us, and he had the cheekiest smirk on his face!’
‘Like, he was watching us realise what happened. And we were sitting there, like, ‘what is going on?” she exclaimed.
