- First-half ended goalless but the visitors were not allowed a single shot
- Mohamed Elyounoussi opened the scoring, with his strike deflecting in
- Shane Duffy doubled the lead, with a bullet header from a corner-kick
Celtic are slowly brewing some form after their miserable run of form, easing through Kilmarnock at Parkhead on Sunday.
The Hoops bagged a 3-2 victory over Lille in midweek to end a streak of five games without a win, but it looked like Neil Lennon’s side could be frustrated again in the SPL after a goal-less first-half.
After the break, though, the Scottish Champions went ahead with Mohamed Elyounoussi cutting-in brilliantly and firing towards goal from outside the box, with his strike deflecting past the keeper.
Shane Duffy then gave Celtic fans some breathing room, powering in a header in the 70th minute to sink a Kilmarnock side who managed just two shots in the 94 minutes.
