While most Brits are getting to grips with Tier 4 restrictions in the fight against a new, mutant strain of COVID-19, the former TOWIE star is making the most of a luxurious winter break in Cape Town.

Taking to Instagram, Ferne, 30, shared a series of video selfies with followers as she unwound with content creator Carl on their hotel balcony.

The group enjoyed a slap up meal before making their way to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, located on the eastern foot of Table Mountain. 

Spotting an exotic bird obliviously crossing the path in front of them, Ferne filmed her daughter Sunday as she attempted to stroke it.

Despite being surrounded by loved ones on her Christmas vacation, Ferne recently admitted to feelings of loneliness and isolation as a single parent when she gave birth to her only daughter.

She confirmed that becoming a first-time mother was a ‘huge adjustment’, especially after she moved out of her doting mother, Gilly’s house.

She told The Sun: ‘Being a new mum in particular, you can feel isolated and lonely. It’s such a change of lifestyle, which you think is going to be all sunshine and roses but actually, it’s a huge adjustment.

‘You are solely responsible for a tiny human that is solely dependent on you. That’s a big task.

‘I 100 percent felt loneliness when I moved out of my mum’s and it was just me and Sunday. That was really tough.’
