Chloe Madeley and James Haskell say they will invite pals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to their wedding vow renewal… but aren’t sure if the couple will accept
Chloe Madeley has revealed that she and husband James Haskell will invite their pals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to their wedding vow renewal ceremony.
The TV personality, 33, and the rugby star, 35, tied the knot in 2018 and are planning to celebrate their marriage again with a ‘big fat party’ in the South of France.
Discussing the plans, Chloe said they intend to ask the Duke of Sussex, 36, – who is a close friend of James’ – and his wife, 39, but aren’t sure if they’ll attend the event.
On the guest list: Chloe Madeley has revealed that she and husband James Haskell (pictued in January 2020) will invite pals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to their wedding vow renewal ceremony
When asked about the guest list, Chloe revealed: ‘Yes, they [Prince Harry and Meghan] will be invited, but whether or not they will come is a different question entirely.
‘James and Harry go way back and they’ve stayed in touch.
‘Because so many of our friends have had to reschedule their weddings, James and I felt it would be selfish to tell everybody to book out a weekend for our wedding when we’re already married,
‘So we’re going to stay quiet on that front for at least a year. We were going to do it in Mykonos, but now it will likely be the south of France, which is where my parents have a house. We’ll have a big fat party with everyone.’
Will they come? The rugby star, 35, is a close pal of the Prince’s however Chloe said she’s not sure if the royal will come to the renewal when it eventually happens (Duke and Duchess of Sussex pictured in January)
The fitness enthusiast – who is the daughter of TV stars Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan – also spoke about feeling ‘broody’ and wanting to start a family.
However Chloe insisted she and James’ pet pooch Bert has ‘filled up all [her] broody space’ for now.
Chloe said she and James aren’t putting ‘pressure’ on themselves to have children, but also think it would be a ‘lovely surprise’ if she did fall pregnant.
She told the Daily Star Sunday’s TV Life magazine: ‘I was starting to get broody and then we got Bert and he’s filled up all my broody space.

Following in their footsteps: Chloe has since revealed she and her husband took inspiration from the couple’s ‘romantic’ nuptials (Prince Harry and Meghan pictured on their wedding day)
‘But there is something about these little things covered in fat that I do love. We’re not not trying, but we’re also not trying.
‘There is absolutely no pressure. Who knows what the next couple of years will bring? If it happened it would be a lovely surprise.
‘I’ve watched that happen to my brothers and I think they’re very lucky because it doesn’t happen for everyone and it may not happen for me.’
Chloe previously revealed that the royal couple inspired her and James to ditch plans of a register office wedding in favour of a ‘traditional’ church ceremony when they married at Berkshire’s All Saints Church back in December 2018.
She told Hello! after her nuptials: ‘James is a traditional guy and wants us to marry in a traditional setting.’
The pair originally wanted a low-key ceremony at a registry office, but opted for an church wedding after watching the Duke and Duchess walk down the aisle in May.
Meghan and Harry’s highly-watched nuptials took place in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
‘I think it was Meghan and Harry’s wedding that inspired James to choose to get married in church. He sat me down and said, “I can tell you why I love you every day but I won’t get to make these vows unless we marry in church. I want to get married in a serious, historical ceremony.”‘
‘It was very romantic. Until then I’d assumed we’d just pop in to a registry office. Now I find the thought of standing in front of him in church very exciting. I love him to bits’, she gushed.
The newlyweds said ‘I do’ in front of friends and family after proud father Richard drove her to the church, with the ceremony captured by Hello!.
Staying fit: James and Chloe have been keeping their Instagram followers updated with their workouts throughout the pandemic and lockdowns
