How I’m A Celebrity star Jack Vidgen broke the news he was gay to his ex-girlfriend

 I’m A Celebrity star Jack Vidgen came out as gay when he was 19.

And the pop star claims he left his then-girlfriend completely distraught when he broke the news to her during what was supposed to be a romantic beach escape.

Appearing on KIIS FM’S Kyle And Jackie O Show on Monday, Jack said he chose to tell his ex he was attracted to guys on their two-year anniversary.

‘I personally came out when I was 19 and then I did The Voice in 2019 and that was sort of when it became more of a thing,’ Jack said.

Jack attempted to recreate the awkward chat with radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, saying: ‘Isabella, so I love you with all my heart, but I’ve needed to tell you something for so long… I don’t know how to say it, but I’m attracted to guys.’

The former Australia’s Got Talent winner recalled how his ex  ‘cried for a long time’ over the news.

But Jack said he didn’t know how she didn’t see it sooner. 

‘I don’t know how she didn’t [suspect it]. I’m as camp as a row of tents! She just didn’t pick up on it,’ he said with a laugh.

‘I’ve had one boyfriend, three or four years ago, and it didn’t work out’: Jack said he met his former flame on Sydney’s Oxford Street, but was now considering dating app Tinder 

During the radio chat, Jack also revealed that he didn’t have a boyfriend at the moment and was single. 

‘I’ve had one boyfriend, three or four years ago, and it didn’t work out.’ he said, adding he met his former flame on Sydney’s Oxford Street.

‘I don’t go on dates, maybe I need to get on Tinder and stuff,’ he said, but cheekily confirmed he hasn’t been celibate.

Jack became the first celebrity to be evicted from the jungle on Sunday’s episode, leaving 12 stars in the camp.

However, Gogglebox duo Adam Densten and Symon Lovett will head into the jungle on Monday’s episode to compete for the $100,000 prize for their chosen charity.
