A Wisconsin man was arrested for allegedly breaking into his ex-boyfriend’s home and attacking him, before cutting off three of his own fingertips.
Damon Laru, 21, reportedly broke into his ex-partner’s Marshfield home to talk to him about why their relationship ended.
When the man asked Laru to leave, Laru allegedly tried to set the man’s bed sheets on fire and cut him with a knife.

A short time later, Laru cut three of his own fingertips off and told his ex-partner that he would frame him for the act, according to the Marshfield News Herald.
But when officers interviewed Laru, he admitted to cutting his fingers himself.
Before the man could escape his home and call 911, Laru threw several objects at him, some of which hit him.
Laru also managed to cut the man on the arm, as he tried to wrestle the knife away from Laru, police said.
A police report noted that Laru even bit the man’s index finger, leaving two puncture wounds.
At one point, Laru allegedly picked up a hammer, came at the man swinging and yelled that he would kill him.
Marshfield police said Laru (left and right) is still being held at the Wood County Jail pending a $30,000 cash bond. He is expected to be charged with battery, criminal damage to property, recklessly endangering safety and burglary
Police said the suspect caused severe damage to the home by throwing things and pouring detergent and other cleaners all around the home.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
Laru was also taken to the hospital to get medical attention for his fingers. Police then arrested Laru.
Marshfield police said Laru is still being held at the Wood County Jail pending a $30,000 cash bond.
He is expected to be charged with battery, criminal damage to property, recklessly endangering safety and burglary.
