A man sparked outrage in his Liberty, Missouri, neighborhood with his interesting logic of hanging a sign on his home advertising ‘Slaves 4 Sale’ to ‘prove he’s not racist’.
Richard Geisenheyner is the middle-aged man who decided to hang the offensive sign because he said he’s tired of being treated like a racist for flying the Confederate flag in front of his home.
‘If people actually believe that a Confederate flag stands for slavery, well, I might as well be just as stupid as they are,’ Geisenheyner told Fox Kansas City.
Ironically, Geisenheyner has bi-racial grandchildren and said, ‘If I’d be selling slaves, I’d have to sell one of my grandchildren.’

The long-haired, bearded man who speaks with an electrolayrnx said he flies the Confederate battle flag to make a political statement: ‘It is for people that are tired of the government telling them what to do and what to think. That is what a Southern rebel is.’
However, some of Geisenheyner’s neighbor’s are highly offended and feel disrespected by the sign.
His neighbor’s chose to stay anonymous when speaking on this subject.
One man explained that the gesture personally offended him because he can remember a time when signs like those were far more common. ‘I remember the signs on the wall that said ”white only.” I am that old. I remember the signs on the wall that said, ”negros only entrance here,”’ he said.
Other’s experienced outrage in response to the sign. ‘His rebel flag don’t have a damn thing to do with me, wave it all you want,’ another man said. ‘This idiot with his slaves for sale, are you fricking kidding me?’
Geisenheyner has since taken his sign down because he believes his point has been made.
On the fact that the sign was hung to prove that Geisenheyner wasn’t a racist to those who treated him that way, one woman said: ‘I didn’t offend you, I haven’t called you a racist so you have got to think about the other people in the community.’
The neighbors who spoke on this issue hope Geisenheyner might choose a different way express his political frustrations in the future.
