Meghan Markle, who is dating Prince Harry, displayed her feisty side on Wednesday’s summer finale of Suits.
The 36-year-old actress portrays lawyer Rachel Zane who was embroiled in a dicey discrimination suit with her father Robert [played by Wendell Pierce] during the episode, titled Donna.
The case was personal for Robert because his sister Jasmine had been harassed by bank CEO Arthur Kitridge before she died.

Robert had refused to defend his sibling at the time and spent the rest of his life regretting it.
‘They have a CEO who takes advantage of women,’ said Rachel, who wanted to argue a ‘pattern’ of behavior.
Rachel interviewed a woman who claimed Kitridge had made her life ‘a living hell’.
The judge ruled that the CEO must submit to a deposition, but Rachel received a settlement offer, which her father adamantly refused.
Legal drama: Rachel performed an end-around and confronted a board room about a bank CEO with a pattern of discrimination
‘You god d*** undercut me,’ he hissed.
‘I didn’t undercut you, I negotiated a deal because I am worried about what will happen if you get in that room,’ Rachel protested.
‘How’s it going to go when you’re face to face with the man that hurt your sister?’ she asked, noting that Roger might ‘lose his s**’ so they’d ‘get noting’.
Father and daughter: Robert and his daughter Rachel were pursuing the case together
‘I took the coward’s way out once before and I’m not going to do it again,’ he vowed.
Rachel agreed, with one caveat: ‘You’re not taking the shot, I am’.
At the deposition she went for the jugular asking: ‘Do attractive women intimidate you Arthur? They’re strong and they’re powerful and they know what they want’.
Good questions: Rachel asked bank CEO Arthur Kitridge if he was intimidated by attractive women
The sex pest CEO couldn’t get through the deposition without asking Rachel on a date.
‘You son of a bitch!’ interjected Rachel’s dad, who ruined the case by losing his temper and mouthing off about his dead sister.
They finally clobbered Arthur with Rachel telling his board they should remove him as CEO themselves, or risk being complicit in his actions.
Well played: Arthur hit on Rachel in front of her father and he lost his temper threatening their case
Watch it: Robert warned the executive about hitting on his daughter
The show opened with Harvey [Gabriel Macht] and Dr. Paula [Christina Cole] talking about Donna [Sarah Rafferty] the COO of Pearson Specter Litt.
Rumors of an unfulfilled love between Harvey and Donna were brewing.
‘I don’t feel threatened about you having another woman in your life that you care about,’ said Paula, who said she admired Harvey’s ‘loyalty’.
TV couple: Rachel and her fiance Mike both had big cases pending
Busy lawyers: Mike and Rachel barely had time to catch up during the one-hour episode
Justice served: Robert was finally able to get justice for his dead sister who was harassed by Arthur
Harvey and Louis [Rick Hoffman] thought they’d found a way to protect Donna from taking the stand in their latest case.
Rachel’s fiancé Mike [Patrick J. Adams] was skeptical.
‘When someone is special to you it can mess up your judgement,’ he told Harvey.
Tough case: Harvey and Mike were still trying to win their case against Andy Malick
‘We’re shutting this son of a bitch down today,’ raged Harvey.
But his plan backfired, Donna was shredded on the stand and the judge allowed the case to proceed.
‘He said I’m only COO because I slept my way there and he made it sound plausible, so now that’s on the record thanks to you,’ Donna barked at Louis afterward.
Plan backfired: Donna was called to the stand by Andy after her firm’s plan to protect her backfired
Andy Malick [Usman Ally] lost the case on grounds of manufacturing evidence, but he also got Jessica [Gina Torres] disbarred – leaving the firm in Harvey’s hands.
Rachel and Mike discussed the romantic possibilities between Donna and Harvey.
‘I wonder if what she really regrets is never telling Harvey how she feels,’ suggested Rachel.
Lost it: Andy lost the case but got his revenge by getting Jessica disbarred
New chapter: Jessica told Harvey that it was time to remove her name from the firm
Mike later advised Donna to confess her love for Harvey.
‘If you think there is even the smallest chance that you might ever want to be together, and you don’t tell him that soon, you might lose the chance to tell him at all,’ he warned.
‘Harvey and I don’t want to be together,’ she replied.
Love story: Donna insisted to Mike that she and Harvey don’t want to be together
Despite her protests the show ended with Donna passionately kissing Harvey.
‘I’m sorry Harvey, I just had to know,’ she said before walking out.
Suits will return next year on the USA Network.
