The first thing Chantel said she always does at home is line tall surfaces such as the top of her cupboards with old newspaper.
This helps to pick up any dust, and means it’s easy to remove each week without having to climb up high with a mop or cloth.

3. Use shaving foam on your mirrors
Shaving foam has become a popular product to use around the house, with millions relying on it to clean shower doors and tiles.
Chantel said it also works wonders on your mirrors in your bathroom – working to keep them ‘clean and fog-free for longer’.
To try the trick for yourself, the mum-of-two recommends applying a good dollop of shaving foam onto your mirror.
Then, leave it for between five and 10 minutes and gently buff away with a clean microfibre cloth.

4. Combine household staples to make your shower sparkle
When it comes to getting a sparkling shower, many try and fail to leave their screens fingerprint and water-free.
But a clean bathroom is just seconds away with Chantel’s simple DIY home recipe.
‘White vinegar, dish soap and tea tree oil combined in a spray bottle makes for the best sparkling shower cleaner,’ she said.
To replicate it for yourself, mix one cup of warm white vinegar with two tablespoons of dish soap and four drops of tea tree oil together in a spray bottle.
Warming your white vinegar first helps it to mix easier with the detergent, Chantel said, and she just puts hers in the microwave for a ‘few seconds’ to ensure it’s warm enough.
Spray the mixture over your bathroom including your shower screen and leave it for 10 minutes.
‘The warm white vinegar is a natural odour eliminator and stain remover, the dish soap cuts through grime and soap scum and the tea tree oil is a natural way to kill mould spores,’ Chantel said.
To get rid of disgusting bin smells, Chantel said you can simply add a couple of drops of essential oil to a cotton ball and throw it under your bin liner in the bin (pictured)

In the same way this works on your shower, it helps to keep the appliance clean and completely smudge-proof.
Let it settle on the door for 10 minutes before wiping clean with your microfibre cloth.
Hundreds of thousands of people who saw the clip thanked the mum for sharing her knowledge and said they would definitely be trying her tricks:
‘Love your hacks. I always learn something new when I come to your page,’ one commenter wrote.
‘Moving into my new house soon – can’t wait to try some of these,’ another added.
