The tips include using water that’s ‘just of the boil’ and allowing the coffee to brew for four minutes before plunging and serving.

To serve the team recommend getting a second, clean, glass coffee plunger and adding 200ml of cold milk.

This is done once the plunger piece has been removed so that the milk can then be heated for a minute and a half in the microwave.

Once the milk is warm the baristas put the plunger attachment back on and ‘plunge up and down for 20 seconds’.

The vigorous pump action should create a dense milk foam.

‘Remove the plunger, swirl the creamy milk and pour onto the coffee,’ they said.
