A drug addict beat a Melbourne sex worker with a timber furniture leg during a protracted assault at his home after believing she had stolen his money.
Jiryis Khsheibon, 63, of St Kilda, assaulted the 33-year-old woman in March 2016 after taking her to his home.
He pleaded guilty in the County Court on Friday to intentionally causing injury, making a threat to kill, and possessing heroin and ice.

Prosecutor Jonathan Manning said Khsheibon and the woman agreed on a sexual service for $100 and returned to his home.
Khsheibon, a long time drug user, offered the woman drugs including heroin and ice which she accepted and he also took ice before they had sex.
Afterwards, she repeatedly asked for her money but the accused suggested he had already given it to her.
He then assaulted her over four hours, hitting her multiple times and landing blows with a wooden furniture leg on her head and body.
He also pushed and punched her, dragged her by the hair, bound her hands and put a bag over her head and tried to strangle her, Mr Manning said.
Defence barrister Ian Polak said his client could not remember the assault and still believed the woman took his money.

He said Khsheibon and the woman were heavily drug-affected during the ordeal.
‘It’s a pretty tawdry scene Mr Khsheibon has been involved in for a long time,’ he said.
Judge Mark Taft said the sex worker was vulnerable and clearly felt terror during the sustained attack.
‘That terror is reflected in her immediate attendance at a crisis centre and her manifestly distressed state,’ he said.
Judge Taft will sentence Khsheibon on a date to be fixed.
