David Beckham stunned a tiny Welsh village when he landed his private helicopter on the local football pitch.
The global superstar was reportedly in the area shooting an advert but found the time to land at the home of Llanrhaeadr FC, a football team in Lanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, which as of 2011 had a population of just 1,195.
Former England captain Beckham generously posed with fans – with one revealing the 42-year-old smelled ‘like an absolute angel’.

And the club was delighted to see him, even joking that his helicopter had damaged the pitch.
They tweeted: ‘Great to see David Beckham in the Village! Shame he’s made a big hole in the pitch.’
They then joked about adding Beckham to their team.
They said: ‘Terms all agreed. Contract signed. Only the small issue of international clearance.’
And Llanrhaeadr’s Saturday opponents also got in on the act, joking that they had already signed the former Manchester United and Real Madrid winger.
They said: ‘He’s actually signed on with us, he likes to be at the games one day early to prepare. See you tomorrow Dave, you’re starting on the bench.’
Beckham, sporting long hair hidden under a cap, visited a local waterfall Pistyll Rhaeadr, and described it as ‘ridiculously beautiful’ in his Instagram story.
