Leeds secure signing of Kristoffer Klaesson from Valerenga with Norway Under-21 international to provide competition for first-choice goalkeeper Ilan Meslier
Leeds have completed the signing of goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson from Valerenga.
The 20-year-old has signed a four-year contract with Leeds, as reported by the club’s official website.
A Norway Under-21 international, Klaesson will provide competition for Leeds’ first-choice goalkeeper Ilan Meslier.

After making his debut for Valerenga in 2019, Klaesson went on to make 57 appearances for the Norwegian club.
Klaesson becomes the sixth signing for Leeds this summer following the arrivals of Junior Firpo, Lewis Bate, Jack Harrison, Sean McGurk and Amari Miller.

He is a replacement for Kiko Casilla, who joined Elche on loan.
Leeds continue their pre-season preparations against Real Betis on Saturday, while it is possible that Klaesson could play some part in the club’s final two friendlies against Ajax and Villarreal.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side commence their Premier League campaign away to Manchester United on August 14.
They will be looking to build upon last season, when they finished in ninth place.
