FIXING A MASCARA MISTAKE
Who among us hasn’t had a mascara mistake threaten to derail an otherwise perfect look?
Chloe’s hardly one to let a wayward smudge get in the way of a flawless finish and recommends that instead of trying to fix it right away, let it dry then remove.
She said to take take a spoolie which is a tool that’s usually found on the end of an eyebrow brush and once the mascara is dry, just flick it away, and cover with concealer.
‘You don’t have to smudge it, and you have to start again. If you actually just be patient and do the rest of your make up, you can just flick it off,’ she said.
‘The key is letting it dry.’

ENHANCING EYEBROWS
As the quest to better looking eyebrows continues, the beauty blogger has one hack everyone looking to create fuller, fluffier brows should try.
Creating better brows she said is best done by enhancing what you have, rather than trying to draw on a shape that’s not already there.
Chloe said her top tip for creating natural looking brows was to use a brow pencil because they’re light and convenient.
Finish brows with a a brow gel because this can make the hairs look thicker and fluffier
She suggests to start at the arch of the eye and fade it in using very short feathery strokes.
‘You want it to emulate the look of a natural hair, so it’s best to use little strokes.
‘Using a fine pencil, you can really draw the hairs in.’
The beauty pro also said consider ‘finishing’ brows with gel or even hairspray as this can make the hairs look thicker and fluffier.
REMOVE MAKE UP WITH A REUSABLE PAD
Taking off make up can be a time consuming and expensive process.
Chloe recommends a chemical free, and more eco-friendly alternative, namely a reusable pad and water.
While these types of products are relatively new on the beauty scene, Chloe believes that not only are they effective, they’re great for anyone with sensitive skin.
The reusable pad works once it is mixed with water, the make up pro explained. This acts as a solvent to trap oil and dirt in its microfibres – which are 100 times finer that human hair. The residue can be washed out easily with soap.
‘Removing your make up is extremely important for your skin and anti-aging,’ she said.
‘Also to save money this product is great. It gets everything off and is completely reusable.’

SHAVING/DERMAPLANING
Chloe has spoken about her love of shaving, or dermaplaning, previously and she still swears by it to this day.
‘I absolutely love to do this maybe once a month, it’s just shaving for your face,’ she said.
‘It picks up all the little peach fuzz so when you apply your make up there is no hair catching the light and it also does exfoliate you.
‘It’s extremely satisfying and it makes a very big difference in the application of your make up.’

USING SANITARY LINERS AS SHADOW GUARDS
‘This one is a little bit crazy but if you are in an urgent position where you need shadow guards because you are doing a super crazy black smokey eye then you can use sanitary liners,’ Chloe said.
She then cut up two liners and placed them under her eye to protect from fall out as she did her eye make up; the liners leaving a clean, crisp line where her shadow ended.
‘I was alerted on my last video that this was wasteful and it was bad for the environment to use these without thinking twice,’ she said.
‘So I try to use it only when absolutely necessary and once I’ve used them I stick them to the inside of the drawer so I can use them again (for make up reasons).’

DRAWING ON FRECKLES
To create a more natural make up look, Chloe often draws on faux freckles using dark shades of brow gel.
‘When I heard celebrities like Gisele Bundchen used the faux freckle trick I started to use it a lot more often,’ she said.
‘It can really help make it look like you are wearing less make up and create a more youthful look effect since freckles are something that fade with age.
‘Plus, because they are a bare skin trait, adding them over the top of your foundation can make it look as though you are either not wearing foundation or wearing a lot less.’

BLOW DRY LASH LIFT
As she is not a fan of curling her lashes, Chloe uses this simple trick to give her lashes some extra volume.
‘Next time you are blow drying your hair why don’t you blow your eyelashes up?’ She said.
‘The heat helps it stay longer and it’s safe for eye lash extensions too.’

VOLUMINOUS PONY TAIL
Before she heard of this trick, Chloe was damaging her hair by teasing it up or heading out with a dull, limp hair do.
‘Now I put one of my trusty alligator clips under the pony tail and flip the hair back over the top,’ she said.
‘It works instantly and I don’t have to spend a lot of time teasing and causing damage and using a lot of product.’

LIP STROBING
To create a striking lip look, Chloe swears by a technique she has dubbed ‘lip strobing’.
‘I strategically apply a lighter colour lip gloss over certain areas of my lips like the cupid’s bow and the lower part of my lips,’ she said.
‘It really helps to create a definition to the vermilion border (where the ridge of your lips meets your facial skin) and it creates a more plump look without it being super glossy and sticky.’
