Pregnant radio host Ash London reveals the TRUTH about her exit from the Hit Network after five years

Ash London has revealed why she decided to leave the Hit Network after five years.

The radio host, who is 32 weeks pregnant with her first child, announced on Monday she wouldn’t be returning to music show Ash London Live after maternity leave.

She told News.com.au it was her decision to leave, adding: ‘I always go with my gut. When contract negotiation time came around [last year], I just felt like five years was perfect.’

Ash admitted she was concerned she may have made the wrong decision until she found out she was pregnant.

‘The universe gave me a big tick and said, “Yep, you’re done, babes,”‘ she said.

Ash went on to reveal she’d ‘put together a 10-part series speaking to female leaders of industry who have become mums’, which will be released in the coming weeks.

She will continue to appear as a guest panellist on Channel 10 comedy show Have You Been Paying Attention?

Ash confirmed on Monday her nightly Hit Network music show was coming to an end and she was leaving the broadcaster.

‘We’ve got three weeks left. I can’t believe it,’ she told listeners.

‘As my producers know, I just sat down and ripped my whole dress open and the whole bum showed.

‘But after five years – I can’t believe it’s been five years of doing this show – I will not be returning next year.’

Ash began hosting her show in October 2016, and is expected to finish up on September 3.

She began her media career on television in 2012 as co-host of Eleven’s music video show The Loop.

Ash has subsequently divided her time between TV and radio, co-hosting Channel 10’s Game of Games with Grant Denyer in 2018.

At the same time she worked alongside Grant and Ed Kavalee on 2DayFM’s breakfast show, which has since been rebranded as The Morning Crew.
