A high school student has been found dead in a university dorm room bed.
Devin Delaney, 17, was found unresponsive on the campus of North Dakota State University in Fargo on Sunday, by friend who said his ‘lips were purple’ and called 911 immediately.
Delaney was a senior at Burnsville High School in the suburbs of Minneapolis, about 300 miles away from Fargo.
Mike Borr, director of the University Police and Safety Office, told the Pioneer Press that there were no signs of foul play in the death.

It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in Delaney’s death.
Delaney had reportedly been spending the weekend with a friend on the seventh floor of Sevrinson Hall at NDSU.
NDSU students Nick Harrom and Brandon Wright, both 18, told the newspaper that they had seen Delaney the night before he was found dead.
They said that many students were drinking but that Delaney didn’t seem to be in visible distress.
‘He didn’t seem unusual,’ Harrom said. ‘He was still sitting up, still talking, still functional. There was nothing out of the ordinary.’

Around noon on Sunday friends found Delaney unresponsive and called 911.
Delaney was a standout player on his school’s lacrosse team and also played junior gold hockey, his friend Brody Childs told the Star-Tribune.
‘He was a guy who was incredibly loved and made an impact on many lives,’ a friend said of Delaney on a GoFundMe campaign for funeral expenses.
‘Wherever Devin went, he brought an abundance of joy with. He was there to help anyone in need.’
