Two-month-old baby survives by gnawing on his own hand for DAYS while lying on top of his mom’s decomposing body after she dies of an overdose

A two-month-old baby boy from Kentucky survived for several days by gnawing on his own fingers while lying on top of the rotting corpse on his mother who died of a drug overdose.
Danielle Wade, 29, was last seen alive on August 13, when she visited her mother along with her infant, Dreseaun, and her older son.
Five days later, Adriane Wade said her daughter was discovered dead inside her apartment in the Four Oaks Apartments in the St Dennis section of Louisville.

Police discovered Wade dead inside her apartment in the Four Oaks Apartments on August 18
The mother was then summoned by police to the apartment to identify her daughter’s body, which she was told had been decomposing for days, according to a WAVE3 report.
The dead woman’s baby son was found alive lying atop her corpse.
Speaking through tears, Adriane said her grandson survived by chewing on his own hand for sustenance.
‘That baby that was in the apartment while she was decomposing, his hand was raw from trying to eat to survive,’ Adriane said.
The baby was taken to a hospital to be treated for dehydration and the self-inflicted injuries to his hand.

Dreseaun’s grandmother described the infant’s survival as a miracle and credited God with keeping him alive for days, with only his own flesh to nourish him.
On Wednesday, the Louisville Metro Police Department confirmed that Danielle died of a drug overdose.
Her baby son is expected to make a full recovery. Adriane said she will take both her grandchildren into her care.
