Three young woman have been injured after a car ploughed into pedestrians at a busy shopping centre in Sydney’s north-west.
A 20-year-old woman was rushed hospital with serious lower limb and abdomen injuries after being hit by the vehicle at Baulkham Hills on Tuesday afternoon.
Two other female pedestrians, aged 20 and 24, were also hurt in the collision, believed to have happened near a shopping centre carpark on Century Circuit.
Pictures show the four-wheel-drive involved coming to rest against a pole as authorities blocked off surrounding streets.
Witnesses at the scene called for more pedestrian crossings in the area: ‘It’s devastating because it’s a simple thing for the city to do,’ one told Nine News.
