A football coach was caught on camera as he put another coach in a chokehold during a children’s game in Oklahoma.
The shocking footage shows a violent interruption to a third-grade football game between Bixby Blue and Union Silver on Saturday when a coach allegedly commented that his colleague’s son was slow on the pitch.
The unnamed Union coach put his colleague in a chokehold in front of all the child players.
The coach later told News9 that one of his sons is autistic and ‘something snapped’ when his colleague told him that his other son was ‘too slow to run the ball’.
‘I asked the coach if he could put some substitutes in and let my son carry the ball.
”He turned around and he said, ‘Your son is slow, and he’s not ever gonna run the ball.”
The coach later admitted full responsibility for the brawl and said that he ‘wants to say sorry.’
The former Union Silver coach asked to remain anonymous ‘for his own safety and the safety of his family.

‘I’ve been coaching since I was 18 years old, volunteering,’ he said. ‘This has never happened before. I lost my mind. I said curse words in front of the kids. I was screaming,’ he told News 9.
‘I would like to tell them, honestly, that I’m so sorry,’ he said. ‘They didn’t deserve that. And I mean it from the bottom of my heart.’
A statement from the Union Youth Football Association indicates that the coaches involved in the fight have been removed as coaches, the Tulsa World reports.
