Katie Piper has revealed she would like Reese Witherspoon to play her in the film based on her memoir.
The 37-year-old star wrote the autobiography Beautiful about her life, in which she discusses the many adversities she’s had to face following an acid attack orchestrated by an ex-boyfriend in 2008, which saw her undergo multiple procedures to repair her face.
She has been spending hours of time on Zoom with a Hollywood screenwriter who has been helping her put her story together for the silver screen.

She told The Mirror: ‘These productions can sometimes take years… especially in a Covid world. But it is happening and I can’t wait. I would love Reese Witherspoon to play me. She would be perfect.’
The story is taking immense research of her life, and Katie didn’t expect it would be this long, and must be bringing up tough memories for the Loose Women star.
‘It’s difficult – I mean I underestimated how much it takes. I’ve had to go through lots of old records and transcripts from the past, to get sort of factual accuracy.

Since garnering fame, she has fast become a familiar face in the television world, appearing on Songs of Praise and becoming a Loose Women panellist.
Among her accolades she has also written seven more books since Beautiful back in 2012.
It comes after she had to pen a candid statement after hitting back at trolls after receiving online abuse following a TV interview on Friday.
Katie revealed she’d receiving vile abuse from trolls after appearing on Sky News to discuss her experience in lockdown on Friday.
The personality, who recently underwent her 400th operation, admitted that she worries about others who are ‘burnt or disfigured like me’, saying ‘if it’s happening to me, why wouldn’t it happen to them?’

She went on to share the screenshots of a few Tweets she received, where she was forced to hit back at one troll who said she had ‘lips full of botox and a designer face’.
The cyberbully penned: ‘Oh dear. @KatiePiper (Katie Piper who she?) With lips full of botox and a designer face drawn by surgeons, on the advertising platform called @SkyNews promoting a publication about people needing to be honest with themselves. Couldn’t make it up, could you.’
She replied to him, saying: ‘My face has been rebuilt by surgeons using other parts of my body after my face was melted down to the muscle and Skeleton following an acid attack. But regardless, I don’t owe you pretty, perhaps use your time more productively than commenting on womens appearance in the internet’.
