Squad cars corner vehicle in car chase in Connecticut

A police chase that began in Springfield, Massachusetts, ended in Hartford, Connecticut when squad cars surrounded the suspects’ vehicle and physically forcing it to stop. 

A wild video shows cruisers closing in on the suspects’ vehicle at about 11.30am Tuesday during the 30-mile chase on Interstate 91.

Two cars flank the vehicle colliding with it and forcing it to stop on the highway in Hartford as a further eight cars are in pursuit. Later more emergency vehicles arrive on the scene.

The driver, Ian James, 34, of Hartford, is facing numerous motor vehicle charges, along with weapon and drug charges. 

He is being held on a $250,000 bond.
