- Three large grey geese chased the diminutive hedgehog across the road
- The amazing animal scene was filmed in Tambov, Russia
- But the angry birds nearly got hit by a car in the process
A little hedgehog was filmed racing across a road in Russia as it was chased by a flock of angry geese.
The three large grey geese were filmed ‘escorting’ the diminutive hedgehog across the road in Tambov, Russia in a scene which looked like it was plucked straight from a Beatrix Potter book.
And they were so focused on forcing the little hedgehog across the that they did not notice a car heading their way and one goose was almost hit as it neared the hedgerow.
Although some people initially believed that these geese were kindly aiding their less mobile friend, anyone who is familiar with a goose’s temperament may question the bird’s motives.
YoutTube user Csuszka did just that and wrote: ‘They are not protecting it, they are trying to chase it away.’
And indeed the birds’ demeanor – chests up and wings out – does look quite aggressive as they shooed the little hedgehog off of their patch.
