Zac Brown has tested positive for COVID-19 and cancels upcoming tour dates amid quarantine
Singer Zac Brown has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Atlanta native, 43, announced he was canceling a series of tour dates in an Instagram post on Tuesday in which he opened up about his health battle.
‘I have made the very difficult decision to pause Zac Brown Band’s “The Comeback Tour,”‘ he said. ‘Despite taking precautions, I’ve tested positive for COVID-19.

‘I am deeply disappointed this has happened, as touring is our life and performing live for our fans is the best part of our job.’
Brown said that his main focus was ‘to take every precaution to put the health and safety of our fans and crew first,’ and that tour would resume after he’s ‘finished the CDC-mandated quarantine, and it is safe for our band members and crew to do so.’
Brown said he was grateful to his fans, as well as frontline workers ‘who can’t stay at home because their work is essential.
‘I believe we can all overcome this together. As soon as we can, we’ll see you back out on the road again. Nothing’s better than the comeback.’

Brown went on to say that refunds will be available for the concerts called off, that were slated for Clarkston, Michigan; Burgettstown, Pennsylvania; Syracuse and Saratoga Springs, New York, from Thursday thru next week.
Brown’s tour began last month, and last week he was among the performers on hand for the opening of the Twelve Thirty Club, Justin Timberlake’s new establishment in Nashville.
The singer and his band are slated to open in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the Rolling Stones on November 11.
The Zac Brown Band next month is set to release The Comeback, which is due out October 15.
