Kim Kardashian is feeling the ‘pressure’ as she gets ready to host Saturday Night Live
Kim Kardashian West is feeling ‘pressure’ ahead of her Saturday Night Live hosting gig.
The 40-year-old reality star is gearing up to present an episode of the sketch show on October 9, and she confessed to getting nervous ahead of the show.
While showing off a floral arrangement that read ‘SNL’ from friend and designer Jeff Leatham, the Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star admitted she had big expectations to fill.

Kim said on her Instagram Story: ‘Thanks so much for sending me these flowers. That is so amazing and I absolutely love them.’
She added: ‘The pressure!’
The KKW Beauty and SKIMS founder admitting to feeling nervous comes after Debra Messing questioned why Kim is hosting the legendary show.
The Will & Grace star asked fans if she was ‘missing something’ after the announcement, as while Kim is a ‘cultural icon’, those who front the programme are usually ‘performers.’
She wrote on Twitter: ‘Why Kim Kardashian? I mean, I know she is a cultural icon, but SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV show, or album launch. Am I missing something?’

Confirming the news, Kim tweeted: ‘OMFG no turning back now!!!! LOL I’m hosting SNL!!!!!! @nbcsnl (sic)’
The new series – which will be live-streamed on Peacock for the first time – will also see Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis and Rami Malek front the NBC programme.
SNL is probably hoping Kardashian will be a big draw for ratings, which slumped to their lowest point in a decade last March, according to Showbiz 411.
Fellow newbies: Owen Wilson will kick off the 47th season on October 2nd while Rami Malik will follow Kim on October 16th
Last month it was reported that Kim and momager Kris Jenner met up with SNL head honcho Lorne Michaels at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge.
‘Lorne wants her to do the show,’ an insider told KNEWZ last month, noting Michaels was hoping to get Kardashian to do the premiere.
Though the meet up sparked hosting rumors almost immediately, at the time a source bluffed and told The Hollywood Reporter that the momager, 65, and KKW Beauty founder’s ‘meal was not about any specific project, but rather a general catch-up.’
Out West: She’ll be the first Kardashian to host, although estranged husband Kanye West last controversially appeared on the show in 2018, going on a long rant about Donald Trump following the broadcast. It was his seventh time as musical guest

Meanwhile, Kim recently enjoyed some screen-time playing Dolores the poodle in the highly-anticipated PAW Patrol: The Movie.
Though her family’s flagship reality show lasted 20 seasons, her scripted credits are a little less robust.
The mother-of-four previously appeared 2008’s Disaster Movie, Deep in the Valley (2009) and Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013).
