NRL Grand Final pre-game entertainment divides fans as some say performers NAILED the show – but others argue it was worse than MEATLOAF
The NRL Grand Final put on an impressive show for the pre-game entertainment – but not everyone was enthused.
Some viewers slammed the performance from DJs The Stafford Brothers, Kate Miller-Heidke and Ian Moss.

‘Can’t believe I’m saying this… Sheppard would have been better than 30 seconds of the Stafford brothers and Timmy f***ing trumpet,’ one person wrote, referring to Brisbane pop group Sheppard, who have performed at several sporting finals.
Another Tweeted: ‘How is the NRL making the same mistake as the AFL Grand Final with the outdated music?’
Someone else chimed in: ‘I’ve seen games of lawn bowls on pension day with better pre-game entertainment’.

Yet another added: ‘Meatloaf was better than this’ referring to the American rock act who famously put in a widely panned performance at the 2011 AFL Grand Final.

The show included Kate Miller-Heidke joining Ian Moss for a cover of the Cold Chisel classic Flame Trees.
