Stars like Reese Witherspoon, Snoop Dogg, and even Dolly Parton all posted light-hearted remarks about the worldwide outage – that also included sister site Instagram and messaging service WhatsApp.
Considering Twitter is a rival to Facebook, the outage sparked the micro-blogging site ablaze with funny quips and memes – including some from celebrities.

Reese Witherspoon’s account also posted a meme of her mouthing ‘thank you’ which it said was Twitter’s response to ‘all other social platforms’ being ‘kaput.’
