Millions of NSW residents are waking up to their first day of freedom after 106 gruelling days of coronavirus lockdown, with pubs, restaurants, hair salons, shops and gyms finally able to fling open their doors.
But there’s one question about Freedom Day that many men will be afraid to ask: will erotic massage parlours be included in the category of ‘personal services’?
Kyle Sandilands, who has admitted to frequenting ‘oily joints’ in the past during his single days, said there was some confusion about the new rules concerning massage shops that offer ‘extras’.

NSW Health’s list of freedoms for vaccinated Australians from Monday, October 11, includes the category of ‘shopping and personal services’.
The following venues fall under this category: hairdressers, spas, beauty and nail salons, tattoo and massage parlours.
While the term ‘parlour’ is often associated with venues that offer sexual services, it’s believed that only legitimate remedial massage centres will be open for business and sex venues will remain shut until December.

However, Kyle felt the rules weren’t clear enough, noting the ‘grey area’ between brothels and message shops that sometimes offer ‘extras’.
‘The jerk-off joints are not open?’ the 50-year-old asked during a news bulletin on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday.
‘There is a difference [between brothels and erotic massage parlours]. There is a grey area,’ he added to co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and newsreader Brooklyn Ross.

The state shattered its 70 per cent Covid vaccination target for over-16s last week, allowing businesses to resume trade on Monday at 12.01am.
Friends and family cut off by the 5km bubble will also be reunited at long last, with up to ten visitors allowed in homes – and 30 able to meet up outdoors.
